Assistant Finance Business Partner
Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our growing Accounts & Finance team! Location Southport/ Hybrid

We are one of the country’s leading consumer law firms and have recently been acquired by an affiliate of Sun European Partners LLP, whose focus is on growing our already successful business considerably in the next few years.

As we gear up for growth, we are adding to our already successful team to start our new financial year strongly. We are looking for the right person to be part of a growing/thriving Accounts & Finance team.

The role will support the financial review and analysis of the business with a particular focus on providing management accounts support to the legal teams within the company. The Assistant Finance Business Partner will work closely with and provide support to the Finance Business Partner, assisting the Legal Teams by providing analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiencies wherever possible across the organisation. This role will assist in the responsibility of managing on-going pieces of work in a finance capacity, providing support to the Legal Directors, whilst monitoring performance against financial projections. Other tasks will include management accounts preparation and providing financial support to cost centres within Fletchers by reviewing monthly spend, identifying potential savings and supporting the Finance Business Partner when settling annual budgets.

If you are currently Studying towards a CIMA qualifications have management accounting experience with advanced Excel skills and looking for a role in a Finance team this could be the role for you.

Role Profile:
Main Responsibilities:
• The Assistant Finance Business Partner will work closely with and provide support to the Finance Business Partner, assisting the Legal Teams by providing analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiencies wherever possible across the organisation.
• This role will assist in the responsibility of managing on-going pieces of work in a finance capacity, providing support to the Legal Directors, whilst monitoring performance against financial projections.
• Other tasks will include management accounts preparation and providing financial support to cost centres within Fletchers by reviewing monthly spend, identifying potential savings and supporting the Finance Business Partner when settling annual budgets.
• The ability to be able to communicate effectively with non-finance team members is essential, as is building strong relations with other internal stakeholders.
• Fletchers Solicitors is a fast paced, innovative environment therefore the ability to think outside of the box and constantly improve the way we work is key to this role.
• Provide financial support to ad-hoc requests across the business as and when required
• Analysis and interpretation of data
• Provide assistance with the annual budget forecasts

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Currently studying towards a CIMA qualification (Minimum of Management Level Required)
• Management accounting experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS and pivot tables
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
• Have the ability to work at pace with a desire to succeed
• Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
• Experience in the Legal sector
• Use of a case management system
• Commercially led
