Fletchers Solicitors Ltd has a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Executive to join our amazing team!
We are one of the country’s leading consumer law firms and have recently been acquired by an affiliate of Sun European Partners LLP, whose focus is on growing our already successful business considerably in the next few years.
We are looking for a cycle enthusiast to be part of a thriving internal Marketing Team. This is a varied and wide-ranging role suited to a content-centric person with a flair for PR. The role is involved in many creative remits across internal and external workflows; including developing case studies for our high-value case load, drafting press releases, developing print and online content as part of high-level project work, building our social media assets and content for various external channels to promote visibility of our senior lawyers, supporting internal comms, and writing SEO friendly website content. A creative eye and an ability to utilise design software is also a bonus.

Main Responsibilities:
• Writing case studies: liaising with senior lawyers and clients to develop case studies suitable for media outreach, and to be utilised across our website and social media channels. Must be able to adapt content to suit various channels.
• Drafting press releases: writing press releases to promote our cycle case load and work with our external outreach team to ensure they are press-ready and can be circulated to media.
• PR support and outreach: supporting our external outreach team and acting as key coordinator between our senior legal team and the media – collating and posing media questions, drafting comments for approval, and working quickly to ensure media placements can be secured in a timely manner. Ability to manage own outreach a bonus.
• SEO content writing: articles and case studies covering the breadth of our cycle case work across multiple brand websites. Content will be written in line with SEO best practice and optimised to suit relevant keywords. Support provided by the Marketing and SEO Executive, but basic SEO knowledge preferred.
• Internal communications: Supporting our cycle team in communicating important messages across the business. Comms should be tailored to suit the requirements of each piece of work, whether that be a full communications plan or a single message. The communication channel should be chosen to best support the message: Yammer, email, or newsletter. Sometimes, external social media messages will be required.
• Developing social media assets: Planning monthly social media messaging to promote our cycle case work and encourage visibility of senior lawyers’ achievements. Liaising with internal team to ensure assets are in line with monthly social media plan. Ability to use design software preferred. Ability to use Hootsuite preferred.
• Social media commentary: Some support may be required in responding to individual comments across our various branded social media channels. This means ensuring that messages are given an individual response that directly addresses the user’s needs. This may require liaising with team members in other departments to ensure the information being given is correct.
• Newsletter production: Some support may be required in the production of internal and external newsletters; including weekly internal newsletter, quarterly alumni newsletter and any further newsletters stimulated as per business requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Passionate about bikes with a good understanding of the cycle market
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
• Experience of interviewing members of the public, ideally about sensitive subject matters
• Ability to take notes quickly and develop raw interview into a press release that is enticing for the press
• Ability to write raw interview into web-friendly content and shorter, more creative social media assets
• Good on-page SEO knowledge
• Creative content writing
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
• Ability to use own initiative and network across departments; this is particularly prudent during home working
• Ability to engage and manage key stakeholder relationships
• Creative and forward thinking
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Team player

Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Ability to use design software a bonus
• Knowledge of Hootsuite
• Experience of WordPress
• Familiar with basic Google software; Analytics, Data Studio, AdWords (Keyword Planner)
