To help Fletchers achieve its strategic goals and plans by helping the business successfully plan and deliver projects on time, within budget and in accordance to the defined scope. Oversee and manage delivery across diverse programmes of work under a transformation portfolio which seeks to both transform the current business and deliver new products & services.



  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects within a programme of work
  • Assess and apply the most appropriate project management / delivery practices (agile or waterfall), depending on project scope
  • Work with project sponsors, business analysts and key business stakeholders to define a project’s objectives, scope, budget requirements and success criteria
  • Lead the development and maintenance of project business cases, proactively drawing on inputs from business analysts and wider stakeholders and managing through the appropriate approval cycles
  • Lead the planning, scheduling and maintenance of project milestones, timelines and key activities
  • Manage resource planning and allocation against key projects
  • Proactively identify, articulate and manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies across the project lifecycle
  • Manage project administration in line with established PMO standards, including preparing and presenting project documentation and reporting to feed appropriate governance forums
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate change request processes
  • Track project spend against agreed capex and opex budgets
  • Manage client relationships with third party vendors where required on a project
  • Complete project evaluations and benefits realisation plans
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder assessments, comms and change management plans are in place and executed
  • Manage service transition and acceptance into service with the BAU team
  • Delegate project tasks as appropriate based on team members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Support the development of project management best practice and tools, using your experience to enable the learning & development of others across Fletchers
  • Support the PMO in actively managing the governance and programme within Fletchers
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency




  • 3+ years business experience in a project manager or delivery manager role
  • Recognised qualification, or a desire to be formally qualified in, project management (for example, PRINCEII, AgilePM, PMP etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering complex projects across Waterfall and/or hybrid techniques including Agile or Six Sigma
  • Strong understanding of digital delivery, design thinking principles and product development
  • Understanding of change management techniques
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently across a varied range of projects, stakeholders, and topics
  • Ability to establish, and drive the adoption of, relevant PM skills and processes within the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assimilate complex information and research to drive strategic business planning
  • Stakeholder management & engagement
  • Ability to motivate people
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other project management and delivery tools such as MS Project and/or Jira/Confluence etc.
