We are currently acting on behalf of 39 former patients of Mian Munawar Shah
The expert medical negligence team led by Christian Beadell and Francesca Paul at Fletchers Solicitors, is acting on behalf of a group of former patients of shoulder surgeon, Mian Munawar Shah. They were treated at Spire Healthcare’s Spire Little Aston facility and Walsall Manor Hospital in the West Midlands, and have experienced serious medical complications following this treatment.
Mr Shah performed surgery between 2010 and 2020 at Spire Healthcare’s Spire Little Aston facility and Walsall Manor Hospital. The Walsall Healthcare Trust referred him to the Royal College of Surgeons to carry out an independent review. Following this, he was suspended from practice and elected to recall up to 600 former patients for further evaluation.
Mr Shah has been subject to an interim order which prevents him from carrying out latarjet procedures (which help stabilise the shoulder) or shoulder joint replacements without supervision. Those temporary restrictions were made following an interim hearing in June 2021 and are still in force.
It is understood that Mr Shah has not practiced out of Spire Little Aston since 2020.
