Q 1. Briefly describe your overall experience of the apprenticeship?
A. I am currently a year into my apprenticeship. Each week I attend academic classes with the Law Academy where I have support from a tutor. The Law Academy provide me with the knowledge and tools I need to achieve my CILEx qualifications.
I also have regular meetings with my apprenticeship tutors who assess my competence within my work and assist me with increasing my work-based skills.
Fletchers have been very flexible and supportive with helping me achieve my apprenticeship.
Q 2. What have been the benefits to you in joining the apprenticeship? i.e. career progression/opportunities, helped become better at current job, etc.
A. My apprenticeship has helped me to develop my legal knowledge at the same time as being able to implement this within my current role.
Fletchers actively supports development for all staff within the company, meaning that it is a great place to gain experience and progress within the legal profession.
I feel that undertaking the apprenticeship is giving me better prospects and opportunities for my career, within a number of areas of law.
Q 3. Would you recommend completing an apprenticeship over the traditional routes?
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship over traditional routes because it allows you to gain the knowledge and qualifications you will need for your chosen career, along with providing you with the opportunity of gaining experience and competence to assist you in your success.
