Consistent weekend for Rumsey

This year, we are once again proud to support and sponsor British Rallycross driver, Graham Rumsey, as he travels around the country racing in his Citroen Saxo.

Last weekend saw Graham take part in Rounds 4 and 5 of the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship, at Pembrey circuit in South Wales, and everyone was set to see some very close action on track at the second trip to the popular circuit.

The weekend started off steadily for Graham in his XtremeRX run Citroen Saxo, as the heats progressed so did the speed from the Kent based driver with only one bad heat after contact with another driver causing a DNF. The team at XtremeRX got the car back to full health for the final where Graham would put in a well timed lap to secure the first of two 2nd places.

As day two got underway it was clear that Graham would be in another battle for a podium position but still lacking the pace of the two front runners. The changeable weather conditions during the day made the circuit conditions tricky but didn’t stop Graham getting a good qualifying position into the A Final. As the final commenced, Graham was able to take an early joker lap allowing him to pick off slower cars as they took the extended circuit during the race giving him the 2nd of his 3rd place finishes. Now the dust and mud has settled at pembrey Graham lies 2nd overall in the Production Championship with 2 rounds still to go.

The next BTRDA event will take place at Blyton, Lincolnshire on October 15th and we look forward to catching up with Graham and providing an update on how he got on!
