Fletchers Solicitors, which has offices in Southport and Manchester, has appointed a specialist travel lawyer to join the team.
Mike Hagan has joined the firm as Head of Travel Litigation, based at the Southport headquarters. Mike specialises in foreign jurisdiction and international litigation work.
Mike qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and, for the first seven years after qualification worked in Central London for a number of leading personal injury practices.
Originally from Waterloo, Mike made the move back up North in 2017, and was previously at another leading North West law firm.
In the newly created role at Fletchers, Mike will be responsible for handling cases including:
- Package holiday cases including slips and trips at hotels.
- Accidents on board aircraft and ships
- ‘Non package’ accidents in and outside the EU, including in the United States
- Road traffic accidents abroad
- Sporting activity accidents
Mike is ranked in the Legal 500 which states: “He is a truly exceptional Solicitor, adored by his clients and well respected by firms acting for opposing parties.’’

“This is not an area that you can just dip into. These cases need specialist lawyers to deal with them, who are experienced dealing with complex matters of jurisdiction and foreign law.
