Headway Golf Day 2016

31st October 2016

This year we sponsored the 5th annual Headway Preston and Chorley Golf Day at Hesketh Golf Club in Southport. Fletchers have sponsored the event since it was first run by the charity back in 2011.

The day got into full swing with a session of golf in the morning, with teams competing for the coveted top spot, followed by a three course dinner and an auction to raise much-needed funds for the brain injury charity.

Overall, the day was a fantastic success and raised a staggering £11,000 for Headway Preston and Chorley, which will be used to fund the services relied upon by those suffering brain injuries to ensure they continue to receive the right level of support.

Liz Bamber, project manager for Headway Preston and Chorley, commented on the success of the golf day: “We want to give a big thanks to everyone who volunteered and helped make the day a great success. From everyone at Headway, we express our gratitude to Fletchers Solicitors for their ongoing support. The funds raised will make a huge difference, as we rely solely on fundraising to keep the charity going.”

We have supported Headway for a number of years and are proud to continue to sponsor the annual Golf Day; thank you to everyone who attended the event and to the Hesketh Golf Club for their much appreciated hospitality.
