Woman secures £7,500 in compensation after suffering an injury whilst watching a show

Settlement figure: £7,500

Lawyer assigned to the case:  Andrea Higham

Our client, a retiree, had finished watching a show and was about to leave the venue. She was walking with a crutch, due to a pre-existing back issue, and was therefore using the ramp. The ramp was slippery and the automatic light that should have come on to light the outside area, failed to do so. Our client slipped, and as she lost her balance, put her hand towards the wall to stop herself from falling. However, due to the failing light, she could not see the wall and hit her head.

The incident resulted in the following injuries:

  • Lacerations to the right side of the face and forehead
  • Faint permanent scarring
  • Sensitivity to the face and head

The case was handled by Employers Liability and Public Liability Solicitor, Andrea Higham. Reflecting on the claim she said:

“This has now resulted in a fair settlement for the client, and I am delighted for her.”
