Local children bid Rob ‘Bon voyage’ ahead of his cycle challenge

15th June 2014

A class of children from a local school gathered yesterday to bid ‘au revoir’ to the intrepid team of cyclists set to take on Mont Ventoux in aid of the charity’s Home from Home Appeal.

Rob Fletcher and his fellow team mates will be cycling over 600 miles from Calais to Mont Ventoux.

We caught up with Rob yesterday ahead of the first day of the challenge. He said “It’s finally here! I’ve been doing a lot of training up to this point as have all the other guys. I’m a bit nervous as it’s such a big challenge but I’m really looking forward to it. I’m overwhelmed with people’s generosity in regards to donations; I’m so close to my target. Wish me luck!”
