In reference to the award for Outstanding Case of the Year, in which insurers were ordered to compensate David Tolley, who was left paralysed after stopping to help a car crash.

Ed Fletcher has, since severing his spinal cord in a motorcycle accident in 1999, dedicated his career to fight for those with spinal injuries. Crash victim, Ed Fletcher, said: “We are proud to have acted for a man of such immense courage, and to have been able to secure a victory for him that will enable him to better handle the injuries that he suffered and try to live as normal a life as is possible.”

Ed Fletcher says: “Personally, it is extra rewarding as I have dedicated my career to fighting solely for those with serious injury and to building a different way of dealing with legal cases, following my own spinal cord accident more than 10 years ago. Our commitment stems from a real understanding of the devastation these accidents can cause, and involves being available 24/7 for our clients.”

Ed Fletcher was also nominated for Claimant Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year at last night’s awards.

Fletchers works in several core areas of personal injury claims for clients across England and Wales, including bike accidents, serious injury and medical negligence.
