Motorcyclist receives £150,000 settlement after third party vehicle collision

November 3, 2022

A man is working hard to get back to his full range of movement after a motorbike accident caused injuries to his elbow and arm.

The man was filtering past a car when it turned right across his path, knocking him off his bike. He was left with a fracture to his left elbow requiring surgery for pins and plates, fractured ribs and soft tissue injuries in the accident.

The job he did prior to the accident was very specialist and he requires full movement in his hand and arm to continue in the profession.

Following his accident, he contacted Fletchers Solicitors who acted on his behalf and secured a settlement of £150,000.

The man, who is in his 40s, said:

I don’t know if the movement in my arm will ever be 100% back to what it was, which is understandable because of the accident, but I’m getting better all the time.

At points, I have felt very down and there have been times that I’ve wondered if I’m ever going be able to do my job again. But, I’ve had a great deal of support that has kept me going.

Fletchers dealt with the matter smoothly. Aimee Ratcliffe who dealt with my case was very nice and understanding.

Aimee Ratcliffe, solicitor in the serious injury department at Fletchers Solicitors, said:

I am very pleased with the outcome for my client and I hope that the compensation he has received can help him move on with his life.
