Motorcyclist receives £15K settlement after collision
In 2018, our client, a 27-year-old service engineer, was proceeding past queuing traffic when the defendant pulled out from their driveway into his path, causing a collision.
The road traffic accident resulted in the following injuries for our client:
• Left ankle fracture
• Soft tissue injuries to wrist, elbows, right shoulder and right foot
• Psychological injuries
Following the collision, the claimant sought legal representation with Fletchers and the case was handled by Chartered Legal Executive, Katie Rutter, with support from Assistant Litigation Executive, Rebecca Carroll.
Following the accident, our client was off work for four months and then on light duties for a further four months, before being able to return to normal duties. However, he continues to suffer from ongoing pain and discomfort.
Following the recommended treatment, including the removal of metalwork in his leg, our client should be able to continue working in a manual role and return to his pre-accident hobbies of walking, exercising, riding his pedal bike, and socialising with his friends and family.
Despite the defendant maintaining their denial of liability throughout the case, through the hard work of Katie and Rebecca, the case was settled and the client received compensation of £15,000.
