Nuneaton News: Hospital surgery error scars patient

11th August 2015

We were recently featured on the front page of the Nuneaton News (and online), after achieving a settlement for our client, Miss Stephanie Austin, who suffered third-degree burns during an operation on her breast.

Stephanie went into the George Eliot Hospital for the surgical procedure to be carried out; however, after the surgery the surgeon advised her a diathermy rod had come into contact with the top of her breast leaving her with a serious burn.

Mortified by her injury Stephanie instructed Fletchers Solicitors to handle her claim, which was successfully settled earlier this year. Rebecca Dawson, a medical negligence solicitor who worked on Stephanie case stated, ?We are glad to have been able to assist Stephanie in her claim, and hope the compensation can help her move on with her life, we wish her all the best.?
