Paul Brand’s Story

3rd June 2015

The accident resulted in Paul sustaining multiple serious injuries, including a fractured wrist, collarbone, shoulder blade, ribs and jaw. He also sustained injuries to his ear, which resulted in hearing problems.

Paul spent a significant amount of time in hospital following the accident, where he underwent various operations and received physiotherapy. Understandably, his life and his family’s lives were turned upside down, as he struggled to come to terms with what had happened to him.

On discharge from hospital, Paul’s wife provided him with full care and assistance whilst having a young baby to take care of. Paul as of yet is unable to return to work as a teacher at a local high school; however he has slowly begun to rebuild his life.

Paul has instructed Fletchers Solicitors, where we have instructed a case manager in order to assess his rehabilitation needs so that he is able to return to his work and family life as soon as possible. He is well on the road to recovery and we will support him all the way.

Paul said of his accident:

I wrongfully assumed that I’d never be involved in a serious accident. So when I came to be, after being in a road traffic accident and airlifted to hospital, my life needed some repairing. Fortunately, my wife had already instructed Fletchers Solicitors, who have helped us to navigate the potentially overwhelming world of compensation claims, with Louise and Katelyn at Fletchers Solicitors providing friendly faces who have been available whenever needed.
