James is an Associate Costs Supervisor recently becoming an ACilex. He had over 23 years experience in Legal costs working for national firms and highly estimated costs agents. The experience he has built up over these years provides James with a rounded view of matters that assists in providing an excellent service to our legal fee earners on any aspect of costs.

James has been a key part of our cost team and has worked successfully in relation to cases involving Part 36 wins. In particular, in one case James helped the team successfully recovered costs, when a defendant challenged bills on multiple occasions. The defendant questioned our conditional fee agreements and pagination. James also supported the successful defeat of a misconduct application from the defendant. This resulted in Fletchers recovering 165% of costs.
