A 32-year-old motorcyclist has received a £30,000 settlement after agreeing split liability for a road traffic accident.

In July 2016, Clint, filtered past slow-moving traffic when the defendant argued they were instructed by another vehicle to proceed.

As a result of the collision, Clint received treatment for multiple serious injuries. This included fractures to his left leg and ankle.

Furthermore, the metalwork remains in place today and Clint continues with on-going pain.

At the time of the accident, Clint wanted to set up his own business. A business for handymen in central London who would travel around jobs on mopeds.

As a certified and respected handyman, himself, he was all too aware that quick transport could be the difference to the business’ success.

Because of the accident, however, Clint has had to drop the idea as he no longer feels comfortable putting people on bikes.

Instead, Clint will use the settlement funds to expand his existing business which will now use van’s instead of bikes.

Fletcher’s Serious Injury Solicitor, Nicola Ryan-Donnelly took representation of Clint’s case.

She told us:

“I am really happy with the good result and hope that this settlement will allow him to move forward. I wish him all the best for the future.”

In conclusion to the case, liability was agreed between the parties at 50/50.
