Notable Settled Cases

ANON

A fatal claim in which a hospital Trust ignored obvious signs of sepsis in a 54 year old male, who had been admitted with a stomach complaint. The Trust was intransigent and unwilling to admit an obvious breach of duty. Craig represented the widow of the deceased during the inquest process and litigation and successfully settled the claim for over £500,000 in damages.

ANON

A woman sadly passed away during childbirth as a result of a rare condition, which had been diagnosed 3 months previously at a routine antenatal appointment, but not shared with other clinicians in the hospital. It was established that her untimely passing was entirely avoidable. Craig represented the family of the deceased and supported them through the trauma of losing their loved one. The claim settled for a 6 figure sum.

ANON

Craig led on case for a young infant which involved a severe hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathic injury (oxygen starvation) during birth. The claimant, as a result of the negligence, required 24-hour care and support and unfortunately had a significantly reduced life expectancy. Damages of over £3.5 million were achieved, alongside significant annual payments to support the claimant and his family.
