Gerard is a Partner and Senior Solicitor within our renowned Catastrophic Injury Team. Gerard has been with Fletchers for over 13 years and in this time has built a national reputation in the catastrophic injury sector.

Alongside his legal role, Gerard has been active in assisting several charities; including Headway Central Lancashire, North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre in Southport, and spinal injury charity, Back Up. Gerard is also a member of the British Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management (“BABICM”). Gerard passionately believes in fighting for his clients and he was recently interviewed by ITV’s Judge Rinder, where he talked about standing up for individuals who often come to him for legal support at the most difficult point of their lives.

NC v Royal Mail Group Limited

Acted for a man who suffered paraplegia following a road traffic accident. Achieved a settlement comprising of a £1.75million lump sum and lifelong annual payments of £67k rising to £89k, index linked to carers wages.

BDL v Paterson & Mulsanne Insurance Company

Acted for a man who suffered a life changing brain injury following a road traffic accident. Achieved a settlement of £4.6million.

SKT v Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust

Achieved a settlement of £3.8million for a man who suffered a serious brain injury after a road traffic accident.

WQA v Raja Rizwan Mahmood

Acted for a man who suffered a brain injury, leading to a persistent disorder of consciousness. Achieved a £1.5million settlement.
