Martyn is a Solicitor & Associate within in our Clinical Negligence team, having dedicated his career of over 20 years solely to representing victims of injury and negligence. He is committed to delivering the highest quality, empathetic and informative advice to clients, to support and navigate them through the complex and often emotionally challenging claims process.
He endeavours to work collaboratively with defendants and embrace ADR processes to ensure swift resolutions. In addition, he is also a skilled litigator and has successfully pursued countless cases through the Courts. Martyn has worked exclusively in clinical negligence since 2013; acting in a wide variety of case types and values -many involving serious and disabling injuries with complex care, accommodation, and other lifelong loss claims. At Patient Claim Line, which is part of the Fletchers Group, Martyn now handles a full clinical negligence caseload of predominantly serious and catastrophic injuries; ranging in anticipated value of around £100,000 to £3m. Martyn has particular interest in fatal dependency claims and extensive experience of cases involving cancer, stroke and brain injury, amputation, and vascular injuries, colorectal, obstetrics, ophthalmology, hepato-biliary, orthopaedics and surgical negligence, neurological, cauda equina and spinal injuries.

Preventable stroke, leading to severely disabling brain injury and incapacity and sadly death of a young mother. Settled at £350,000.
MA vs ANON
Disputed, litigated, fatal case involving failure to manage Chron’s disease. Settled for £80,000.
MB v ANON
Post-operative complications of biliary surgery resulting in peritonitis and sepsis and prolonged hospital admission of 8 months. Slightly premature end to career and dependence. Settled after direct negotiations with opponent for £187,500.
