Adrian Denson

Head of Serious Injury

Adrian joined us in December 2011 and heads up our Serious Injury department, tackling all cases that involve catastrophic, life-changing events for our clients and doing his utmost to get them back on track and rehabilitated into a new (and hopefully just as good) life. Adrian has also seen his department grow significantly and continually provide outstanding support to their clients.

Andrew Clark

Senior Solicitor

Having worked exclusively as a personal injury lawyer for the last 25 years, Andrew’s experience allows him to understand what his clients are going through and the support they need. His sole aim is always achieving the best possible outcome, usually consisting of a combination of excellent rehabilitation to ensure the best possible recovery and a settlement that will provide financial security.

Gerard Horton


Ged is a serious injury solicitor, who has dedicated his career to fighting for victims of catastrophic injury, and recognises the difficulties and challenges faced from the outset. Alongside working as a solicitor, he volunteers for the spinal injury charity Back-Up, and actively engages with fundraising for the brain injury charity Headway.

Julia Eyton

Chartered Legal Executive

As well as supervising a serious injury team, Julia handles some of the most serious and complex personal injury cases, not just in the firm, but in the UK, being one of only literally a handful of people in the country with the experience and expertise to be able to deal with such accidents. Julia is also a Legal 500 recommended lawyer, noted for being ‘tactically very astute’.

Tom Ponsonby

Senior Litigation Executive

Tom joined Fletchers in 2000 and is a member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers). He dedicates himself to dealing with large value personal injury cases and specialises in fatal accident cases. Tom has dedicated his career to supporting people who have suffered life changing injuries including traumatic brain injuries and the bereaved.The legal process can be complex and at times dehumanising; because of this, Tom always tries to make sure his clients are represented as people.

Sarah Charnley

Court of Protection Solicitor

Sarah is a senior solicitor at Fletchers who heads up our Court of Protection department. Her works with clients to ensure their needs are handled efficiently and suitably. Alongside her role as a solicitor, Sarah is the Chairperson of Headway Preston and Chorley, a member of the ‘Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’, and ‘Solicitors for the Elderly’.

Peter Rigby

Senior Fee Earner

Peter is dedicated to supporting victims of catastrophic injuries and endeavours to provide a clear and coherent approach to claims. He recognises the effects serious injuries can have and therefore ensures his client’s need for support is met. Peter also a vast amount of experience working with clients who have been injured abroad and is able to act under international law to provide the best outcomes.

Ashley Nolan

Litigation Executive

With several years’, experience in handling personal injury claims for those who have been seriously injured, Ashley always does his utmost to help and support his clients. He will always go the extra mile to help support those injured in rebuilding their lives, following a life changing injury in both the short-term and long-term.

Claire Barnes

Chartered Legal Executive

Claire began her career in personal injury claims whilst studying her CILEX course. She very quickly became interested in dealing with both motorcycle accidents and complex injuries. Now an experienced serious injury chartered legal executive, Claire ensures that the maximum is always achieved for her clients.

Jennifer Steele


Jennifer is a solicitor and supervisor in our serious injury team, in addition to being a member of our specialist Fraud Team. She is dedicated to her clients throughout the entirety of their claim’s process and recognises the need for support in both compensation and rehabilitation throughout the claim process.

Louise Riley


Louise is an expert in high level, complex litigation. She strives tirelessly to get the best results for all of her clients and ensure that they have the funds to enable rehabilitation to take place. Fletchers ethos is “in this together” and Louise very much embodies this, she always goes the extra mile and works hard to earn a client’s trust.

Neil Downey


Neil’s role is to represent and support individuals and families who have been the victims of serious injury, utilising his experience in the areas of serious orthopaedic injury, traumatic brain injury and fatal accident claims to achieve the best outcome. He is committed to providing the best possible assistance, advice and support to injured individuals and their families.

Kirsty Thomas


Kirsty thrives to make life easier for those who have suffered life-changing injuries, offering guidance and support throughout the claim. She has also committed herself to various charity projects; including volunteering as a Buddy on a ‘Back Up’ multi-activity week, arranging a charity ball raising over £11,000 for the Southport Spinal Centre and volunteering for the brain injury charity ‘Headway’.

Nicola Ryan-Donnelly


Having worked at Fletchers since 2011, Nicola has continually progressed and gained experience working with those who have suffered serious and life changing injuries. She is currently a trainee solicitor within the serious injury team and is passionate about achieving the best results for the clients she works with.

Gavin Marsh

Serious Injury Fee Earner

Gavin has over 20 years of experience in the legal sector, which provides him with the knowledge and skill to provide the right support to his clients. He guides his client’s throughout the entire claims process, arranging rehabilitation to assist their recovery and always ensuring they receive an appropriate award of compensation commensurate to allow them to rebuild their lives.

Aimee Moorcroft


Aimee is a trainee solicitor within our serious injury team and has been a part of Fletchers since 2011. She is passionate about fighting for clients who have suffered life-changing injuries, always working with great determination to achieve the best possible outcome. In addition to her work with serious injury clients, Aimee has been actively involved in organising fundraising events for a local spinal injuries charity.

Katelyn Williams

Trainee Solicitor

Katelyn’s role entails actively assisting on the progression of seriously injured clients’ claims for maximum compensation on a daily basis. She endeavours to keep clients up to date with the development of their case, be available for any questions and to provide support throughout the whole process.

Paul Allonby

Since joining Fletchers in 2012, Paul has consistently ensured that client care is at the heart of everything that he does. He strives to not only get the best possible compensation for all of his clients but also to obtain the best rehabilitation, this enabled his clients to rebuild, and move on with, their lives.

Jolene Cunningham

Serious Injury Fee Earner

Working as part of the Serious Injury team, Jolene concentrates on mainly complex orthopaedic injuries, assisting clients who are unable to work or return to their previous work as a result of their injuries. She helps them rebuild their lives through retraining and rehabilitation. She has been a part of the Fletchers team for over 4 years and is soon to become a Chartered Legal Executive having completed her qualifications through ILEx.
