About Me & The Team

Christian is a team leader and senior solicitor at Fletchers and has specialised in clinical negligence claims since qualifying in 1997; having dealt with a wide variety of claims throughout his career.

He is also featured in the Legal 500 as a recommended claimant solicitor in the North West. Christian leads a team of junior and senior lawyers and ensures the progression of cases to the point of settlement or issue. He is also responsible for completing formal risk assessments of each case and strategically plans the progression of the case to ensure a fast and fair settlement for our customers.

Nafisa Ismail

Solicitor

As a solicitor within the team, Nafisa is responsible for corresponding with customers and experts to ensure cases are conducted in a proactive and effective manner. She works with the team leader to discuss and agree case tactics and planning; coordinating the progression of cases to achieve the best settlement for our customers.

Hannah Hughes

Senior Litigation Executive

Hannah is a fee earner within the team she is responsible for drafting letters of claim. She will have an in-depth understanding of the case in order to draft the letter of claim, which will outline the formal allegations we are making. Hannah proactively chases a response to these letters and evaluates the quantum of the case. She will also collate and consider the customer’s losses, and negotiate with the Defendant if an offer of settlement is made.

Stephanie Davies

Litigation Executive

Stephanie is the assistant fee earner in the team and she is responsible for obtaining expert evidence. As an assistant fee earner, she drafts detailed letters of instructions to medical experts in order to build evidence for the case. When Stephanie has obtained the expert reports, she will review them and advise the customer of their contents. She is also responsible for drafting a full exhaustive witness statement in support of the case, keeping it updated regularly as the customer’s condition changes.

Jaynie Melling

Litigation Executive

Jaynie is the junior paralegal in the team; she joined Fletchers in 2016 and is responsible for the collection of medical records and for arranging them to be paginated when they have been obtained. As a junior paralegal, Jaynie is the first point of contact for customers and is required to liaise with them frequently. She is also responsible for drafting Pre-Action Disclosure applications for the Court in the event that hospitals, doctors or dentists do not disclose the customer’s medical records in a timely manner.
