About Me & The Team

Carol qualified as a solicitor over 20 years ago and specialises in medical negligence. She is a senior solicitor within our medical negligence department and leads a team of junior and senior lawyers.

Carol ensures the progression of cases within the team to the point of settlement or issue. She completes risk formal assessments of each case and strategically plans the progression of cases.

Jane Wagg

Senior Litigation Executive

Jane is a senior fee earner within the team and is responsible for corresponding with customers and experts to ensure cases are conducted in a proactive and effective manner. She works with the team leader to discuss and agree case tactics and planning, ensuring the necessary information has been collected to enable progression and settlement of the case. Before joining Fletchers, Jane previously worked for the General Medical Council, who regulate the practice of doctors in the UK.

Daniel Hatton

Senior Litigation Executive

As a fee earner within the team, Daniel is responsible for drafting letters of claim. He will have an in-depth understanding of the case in order to draft the letter of claim, which will outline the formal allegations we are making. Daniel proactively chases a response to these letters and evaluates the quantum of the case. He will also collate and consider the customer’s losses, and negotiate with the Defendant if an offer of settlement is made.

Tatevik Bagratyan

Assistant Fee Earner

Tatevik is the assistant fee earner in the team and therefore is responsible for obtaining expert evidence. She drafts detailed letters of instructions to medical experts in order to build evidence for the case. When she has obtained the expert reports, Tatevik will review them and advise the customer of their contents. She is also responsible for drafting a full exhaustive witness statement in support of the case, keeping it updated regularly as the customer’s condition changes

Jennifer Corcoran

Junior Paralegal

As a junior paralegal within the team, Jennifer is responsible for the collection of medical records and for arranging them to be reviewed by our team of nurse analysts. She is the first point of contact for customers and ensures they receive frequent updates on the progression of their case during the early stages. She is also responsible for drafting Pre-Action Disclosure applications for the Court in the event that hospitals, doctors or dentists do not disclose the customer’s medical records in a timely manner.
