About Me & The Team

Angela is a team leader and senior solicitor; she has nearly 20 years of experience, having worked in medical negligence litigation for most of her career.

As the team leader, Angela is responsible for the progression of cases to the point of settlement or issue. She completes formal assessments of each case and strategically plans the progression of the case to ensure our customers receive the best settlement possible. Alongside her role as a senior solicitor, she is a part-time Tribunal Judge in the Social Security Tribunal hearing appeals against refusals of disability benefit claims.

Christopher Achilles

Solicitor

Chris joined Fletchers in January 2014 and has experience handling clinical negligence claims including both pre-litigation and issued cases. Chris is a solicitor with a vast and varied experience, having previously worked in conveyancing, criminal defense and other high-value personal injury areas. Chris works with the team leader to discuss and agree case tactics and planning; coordinating the progression of cases to achieve the best settlement for our customers.

Chloe Westwell

Senior Litigation Executive

Chloe is a fee earner and trainee solicitor at Fletchers. Within the team she is responsible for drafting letters of claim. She will have an in-depth understanding of the case in order to draft the letter of claim, which will outline the formal allegations we are making. Chloe proactively chases a response to these letters and evaluates the quantum of the case. She will also collate and consider the customer’s losses, and negotiate with the Defendant if an offer of settlement is made.

Stephen McCallum

Litigation Executive

Stephen is the junior paralegal within the team and is responsible for the collection of medical records and for arranging them to be reviewed by our team of nurse analysts. He is the first point of contact for customers and ensures they receive frequent updates on the progression of their case during the early stages. He is also responsible for drafting Pre-Action Disclosure applications for the Court in the event that hospitals, doctors or dentists do not disclose the customer’s medical records in a timely manner.
