About Me & The Team

Lucy joined Fletchers in 1999, coming straight from law school in Chester. As the team leader and senior solicitor within the team, Lucy’s role is to be accountable for the progression of cases to the point of settlement or issue.

She also completes formal risk assessments for each case and strategically plans the progression of the case. She ensures her team’s ethos is to be dedicated to our customers and achieve great results for them.

Angel Chen

Senior Fee Earner

Angel is a senior fee earner within the team and is responsible for corresponding with customers and experts to ensure cases are conducted in a proactive and effective manner. She works with the team leader to discuss and agree case tactics and planning; co-ordinating the progression of cases to achieve the best settlement for our customers.

Bethany Hodgkins

Senior Litigation Executive

Bethany is a fee earner and trainee solicitor at Fletchers. Within the team she is responsible for drafting letters of claim. She will have an in-depth understanding of the case in order to draft the letter of claim, which will outline the formal allegations we are making. Kim proactively chases a response to these letters and evaluates the quantum of the case. She will also collate and consider the customer’s losses, and negotiate with the Defendant if an offer of settlement is made.

Hayley Millington

Litigation Executive

Hayley is the assistant fee earner in the team and she is responsible for obtaining expert evidence. As an assistant fee earner, she drafts detailed letters of instructions to medical experts in order to build evidence for the case. When she has obtained the expert reports, Hayley will review them and advise the customer of their contents. She is also responsible for drafting a full exhaustive witness statement in support of the case, keeping it updated regularly as the customer’s condition changes

Lauren Cannell

Litigation Executive

Lauren is junior paralegal within the team and she is responsible for the collection of customer’s medical records and for arranging them to be reviewed and paginated. She is the first point of contact for customers and is required to liaise with them frequently throughout the early stages of their case. Lauren is also responsible for drafting Pre-Action Disclosure applications for the Court in the event that hospitals, doctors or dentists do not disclose the customer’s medical records in a timely manner.
