About Me & The Team

Sally is a senior solicitor with nearly 20 years of experience dealing with personal injury and medical negligence ligation. She has dealt with a variety of cases over the years and previously achieved a settlement for £5.8m for a customer who had life-changing injuries.

As the team leader and senior solicitor, Sally is responsible for the progression of cases to the point of settlement or issue. She completes formal assessments of each case and strategically plans the progression of the case, ensuring all cases within her team are handled efficiently.

Kate Barge


Kate is a solicitor within our medical negligence department; she manages cases through to settlement or commencement of litigation. Kate joined Fletchers in 2017 and has been a solicitor for over 15 years. Within the team, she is responsible for corresponding with customers and experts to ensure cases are conducted in a proactive and effective manner. She works with the team leader to discuss and agree case tactics and planning, ensuring the necessary information has been collected to enable progression and settlement of the case.

Ciaran Harper

Fee Earner

As a fee earner within the team, Ciaran is responsible for drafting letters of claim. He will have an in-depth understanding of the case in order to draft the letter of claim, which will outline the formal allegations we are making. Ciaran proactively chases a response to these letters and evaluates the quantum of the case. He will also collate and consider the customer’s losses, and negotiate with the Defendant if an offer of settlement is made.

Mark Goodfellow

Assistant Fee Earner

Mark is the assistant fee earner in the team and is responsible for obtaining expert evidence. He drafts detailed letters of instructions to medical experts in order to build evidence for the case. When he has obtained the expert reports, Mark will review them and advise the customer of their contents. He is also responsible for drafting a full exhaustive witness statement in support of the case, keeping it updated regularly as the customer’s condition changes

Thomas Stevens

Junior Paralegal

Thomas joined Fletchers in 2012 and is a junior paralegal within the team. He is responsible for the collection of customer’s medical records and for arranging them to be reviewed and paginated by our nurse analyst team. Thomas is the first point of contact for customers and is required to liaise with them frequently throughout the early stages of their case. He is also responsible for drafting Pre-Action Disclosure applications for the Court in the event that hospitals, doctors or dentists do not disclose the customer’s medical records in a timely manner.
