As the team leader and senior solicitor, Sion is responsible for the progression of cases to the point of settlement or issue. He completes formal assessments of each case and strategically plans the progression of the case, ensuring all cases within his team are handled efficiently.

Michael Carson

Senior Litigation Executive

Michael is one of Fletchers’ most experienced senior litigation executives with around 14 years’ experience in law. Michael utilises the experience he gained when defending medical negligence claims in order to reach the best possible settlement for the team’s customers. Within the team Michael is responsible for corresponding with customers and experts to ensure cases are conducted in a proactive and effective manner, achieving the best settlement for our customers.

Amy-Jo Hughes

Litigation Executive

Amy-Jo is a litigation executive within the team she is responsible for drafting letters of claim. She will have an in-depth understanding of the case in order to draft the letter of claim, which will outline the formal allegations we are making. Amy-Jo proactively chases a response to these letters and evaluates the quantum of the case. She will also collate and consider the customer’s losses, and negotiate with the Defendant if an offer of settlement is made.

Rikki Spofforth

Assistant Litigation Executive

Rikki joined Fletchers in 2014 and is an assistant litigation executive in the team. He is responsible for obtaining expert evidence. Rikki drafts detailed letters of instructions to medical experts in order to build evidence for the case. When he has obtained the expert reports, he will review them and advise the customer of their contents. Rikki is also responsible for drafting a full exhaustive witness statement in support of the case, keeping it updated regularly as the customer’s condition changes

Megann McKay

Junior Litigation Executive

Megann is the junior litigation executive in the team; she joined Fletchers in 2014 and is responsible for the collection of medical records and for arranging them to be paginated when they have been obtained. As a junior litigation, Megann is the first point of contact for customers and is required to liaise with them frequently. She is also responsible for drafting Pre-Action Disclosure applications for the Court in the event that hospitals, doctors or dentists do not disclose the customer’s medical records in a timely manner.
