Anna Gillespie

I have more than 10 years' experience across journalism, PR, content marketing and digital marketing. After graduating from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) in Multimedia Journalism, I built my career working across various sectors, supporting a wide range of brands and organisations.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in-house and agency-side, including roles within PR and social media agencies and digital marketing agencies. My experience has spanned media relations, content strategy, copywriting, brand communications and digital campaigns, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how to engage different audiences and tell impactful stories.

With a background in journalism, I’ve always believed in the importance of human stories and the power of storytelling to educate, inform and inspire change.

My role within the clinical negligence division of Fletchers allows me to work closely with clients who want to share their experiences and shine a light on important healthcare issues.

Whether supporting individuals affected by birth injuries, medical product failures or wider patient safety concerns, I’m motivated by the opportunity to help ensure their voices are heard and their experiences can make a difference for others.

Many of the clients I work with have been through incredibly difficult experiences, so creating a supportive and trusting environment is a priority for me. I’m always open to a conversation, whether that’s discussing media opportunities, answering questions or simply providing reassurance about the process. My goal is to help clients feel empowered to share their story in a way that feels right for them and can make a positive difference for others.

I’m fortunate to work alongside colleagues such as Hollie Bone, our PR Manager, for Serious Injury, whose journalism background brings valuable storytelling expertise and media insight, helping us tell our clients’ stories with care, accuracy, and impact.

What I enjoy most about my role at Fletchers is the trust that clients place in me. Many of the people I work with have experienced incredibly difficult and often traumatic events, and I never take for granted the fact that they choose to share those experiences with me. I feel privileged to hear their stories and to play a part in helping to tell them.

My role is about ensuring their experiences are represented accurately, sensitively and in a way that reflects what matters most to them. Whether they are seeking answers, raising awareness or hoping to prevent the same thing happening to others, I’m proud to help give them a platform and ensure their voices reach the right audiences.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. I run three times a week and regularly go to the gym. I’m also passionate about animal welfare and currently foster dogs, which is incredibly rewarding. Looking after dogs as they prepare for their forever homes has taught me a lot about patience, resilience and adapting to different personalities.
