Claire Lloyd-Durney

I’m an Associate and Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence team. With a background in serious injury claims, I later chose to move into clinical negligence, where I now specialise in claims involving birth injuries, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries.

I do this work to help and support families in their most challenging and difficult times following severe life changing injuries.

My aim is to always provide clear constructive guidance on the evidence in hand, whilst being empathetic and understanding. I also make home visits to offer help build trust and connection with the families and to offer compassionate support.

One of our greatest strengths as a team is our laser focus on the details of evidence on liability, and the ability to recognise the effects of the negligence personally and financially.

I enjoy working at Fletchers because I find real fulfilment in the work and the types of cases I deal with, which also allows me to continue building and developing my specialist expertise. This is further strengthened by being part of a supportive team, where collaboration and shared knowledge make a real difference to both the work and the outcomes for clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, which is really important to me. I also enjoy baking, it’s a great way to relax and help me to unwind and express creativity, with a tasty treat at the end of it!
