I’m an Associate and Head of our Personal Injury at Fletchers, I have over 23 years’ experience handling personal injury claims and have helped clients secure thousands in damages.

I currently lead a team of highly experienced lawyers in our Employer and Public Liability department, where we focus on delivering exceptional client care and ensuring each client’s journey is the best it can be. I thrive on leading a team and enjoy supporting people as they progress in their legal careers.

Working in this industry allows me to directly help clients during what might be one of the most challenging times in their lives. This has helped me to develop a commercial mindset, alongside developing my legal expertise to help vulnerable clients obtain fairness and accountability in a world that can often favour insurers and large companies.

I have a keen interest in client care to ensure that each client journey is the very best it can be. My job satisfaction comes from knowing that I have helped to bring about successful outcomes for our clients. Obtaining great results contributes to the success of the firm and gives new clients the confidence to put their trust in us.

I currently lead a growing team that has a variety of experience and skills and who make it their priority to ensure that excellence is delivered to our clients in the work they produce.

My career at Fletchers has been both rewarding and progressive, allowing me to develop as a personal injury lawyer and as a leader. I now work as a Head of Department, supporting my teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and contributing to the firm’s wider objectives. The role is highly fulfilling, as I help injured clients navigate complex legal processes and secure positive outcomes. Personal injury work is varied and intellectually engaging, with complex legal and medical issues that ensure continuous development. I also value the opportunity to mentor junior lawyers, support their growth, and build a collaborative, high-performing team. Overall, my career at Fletchers has been shaped by meaningful work, professional development, and strong teamwork in a supportive environment.

Outside of my professional role, I maintain a balanced and fulfilling life, even if “balanced” sometimes means juggling work and deciding what’s for dinner! Spending time with my husband, friends and family is central to everything I do, as they keep me grounded and provide perspective. To switch off, I enjoy cooking and am currently working my way through French classics, with varying degrees of success… I also enjoy reading, particularly literary fiction and thrillers, as well as true crime documentaries—though preferably not late at night! Weekends are often spent with family and friends, usually centred around good food, whether dining out, hosting at home, or exploring Leeds’ restaurant scene. I love travelling, especially road trips in Italy, and I have a particular fondness for dogs and an enthusiasm for motorbikes.
