Who am I

I’m a clinical negligence paralegal based in the Northampton office. I assist with the management of clinical negligence claims, ranging from standard to complex, while also managing my own caseload.

My work includes a range of administrative and case management tasks such as drafting instructions to medical experts, liaising with opposing solicitors, and preparing legal documents including Letters of Claim and witness statements.

Why I do this work

My personal motivation for working in clinical negligence is seeing the positive impact to clients, as settlements can make a real difference to people’s lives and although no amount of money will put it right, it can make life easier and gives them a chance to get them back out into the community.

How I work with clients

I would describe my approach as empathetic, caring and professional. I always offer a listening ear to clients and provide reassurance. I think this is important as clients are quite often going through the most difficult time of their lives, so it is important to remain supportive and caring.

What I enjoy about working at Fletchers

Three things I enjoy about working at Fletchers would have to be the culture, the complexity of the work and my colleagues.

Outside of work

I enjoy going to the theatre and concerts, seeing my friends and family, walking and being out in nature. I love all things beauty and cosmetic related, and I also occasionally like to paint!
