Who am I

I’m an Associate and Head of Personal Injury within our Employers’ Liability and Public Liability team. Alongside managing my own caseload of injury claims, I lead a team of ten legal professionals. I have over 25 years’ experience as a solicitor, with more than 19 years dedicated to personal injury work, particularly Employers’ and Public Liability cases.

I’m passionate about what I do and enjoy developing my understanding of medical issues and different industries to support my clients effectively. I’m driven by the desire to make a real difference to people’s lives, helping them access the treatment they need and secure a settlement that supports their future.

As a team leader, I take great pride in mentoring and supporting colleagues in their development. I’m also an active member of the wider team and have taken part in initiatives such as the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the Fletchers Foundation, which supports rehabilitation for people who have experienced life-changing injuries but are unable to seek a legal resolution.

Why I do this work

I chose to become a lawyer to help people, and personal injury was a natural fit because of the direct difference it can make. Knowing that I can help ease financial worries or secure access to important treatment has always made the work incredibly rewarding.

How I work with clients

I pride myself on being a good listener and taking the time to really understand my clients’ concerns. I know that the information involved in a claim can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I make sure to explain things clearly and at a pace that suits each individual.

It’s important to me that my clients feel comfortable asking questions and confident that they fully understand what’s happening at every stage.

Outside of work

Outside of work, I’m a keen hiker and am currently working my way around the Greater Manchester Ringway route. I’m also hoping to walk part of the Camino de Santiago later in 2026. In 2023, I completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks with a team from Fletchers.

I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit 47 countries.

Closer to home, I volunteer as a leader of a Brownie pack, which I find incredibly rewarding.
