Who am I

I’m a team leader in our cycling team in Manchester, overseeing and supervising the team while providing key performance statistics to senior management.

With over 20 years of experience in litigation, I specialise in representing vulnerable road users, particularly motorcyclists and pedestrians.

I’m a keen motorcyclist, often found racing in the Supermoto British Championship and enjoying motorcycle tours all across the world. In addition to this, I also love mountain biking and regularly enjoy getting involved with a local club.

My passion for motorcycles and cycling has only further driven my focus on litigation, where I thrive in contested cases. Motorcycle claims often require litigation, and I enjoy the challenge of helping clients secure favourable settlements.

One of my proudest career achievements is my involvement in large-scale projects that improved efficiency across litigation departments. One project in particular led to enhanced workflows and system changes, resulting in increased customer satisfaction scores, a reflection of my commitment to excellence.

Why I do this work

I’ve worked in road traffic accident claims for over 25 years, gaining experience across a range of roles, including with brokers, insurers and a UK-based agency handling accidents abroad. This broad experience gives me a well-rounded understanding of the claims process from all perspectives, helping me support my clients effectively.

As a motorcyclist, I’ve always had a passion for road safety and making sure that clients are fairly compensated and given the proper treatment to assist their recovery. I’ve been unfortunate enough to have been involved in a few accidents myself, so I understand some of the frustrations dealing with insurers and hire companies. My role is to make this process as stress-free as possible.

A key part of my role is making sure clients feel fully informed throughout their claim, providing clear advice and a high standard of care at every stage.

Outcomes

ANON

The client experienced a serious injury to their foot and had to undergo extensive treatment following a road traffic accident. There was a complicated liability argument regarding speed, but my team and I managed to obtain expert forensic evidence to prove our client’s speed was within the legal limit and secured a win on liability. The client eventually managed to get back to work and get funding for the treatment he needed.

My team

focuses on gathering all the key evidence early on and taking a strategic approach to how each case is handled. We’re thorough in our work, ensuring no detail is overlooked so we can build the strongest possible case.

We also place great importance on being available to speak to our clients, taking the time to keep them informed, and build strong, trusted relationships throughout the process.

Outside of work

I’ve been racing Enduro and Supermoto in the British Championship for over 20 years. I also enjoy riding on the road and occasionally take part in track days.

Over the years, I’ve owned a variety of bikes and developed a real passion for touring, exploring both the UK and further afield across Europe and America.
