Michelle Thomson

I’m an Associate Solicitor in the clinical negligence team, working alongside a group of highly skilled lawyers to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients who have suffered injury as a result of medical negligence.

With 19 years’ experience in clinical negligence, I’ve built extensive expertise across a wide range of claims. My experience includes GP negligence, orthopaedic and general surgery claims, nursing care and care home claims, gynaecology, pharmaceutical errors, retained products, mismatched implants, delays in diagnosis and misdiagnosis, as well as assisting on a number of birth injury cases.

I’m proud of my career journey, having previously worked as an Orthopaedic Theatre Sister within the NHS. At the age of 30, I changed career paths, balancing full-time work and part-time study for four years to qualify as a solicitor. This dedication and perseverance have shaped my approach to client care, combining empathy with expert legal guidance.

I enjoy problem-solving and supporting clients at some of the most challenging times in their lives. I also find inspiration in my clients’ resilience and strength and am motivated by helping them achieve the best possible outcome.
