Who am I

I’m an Associate Solicitor and Team Leader in the Serious Injury Team. I qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and have worked within the Serious Injury Department since 2012.

I represent clients who have suffered major trauma and require bespoke support and rehabilitation. Most of my cases are valued between £50,000 and £500,000, and I have extensive experience handling both pre-issue and litigated matters. I currently manage a range of Road Traffic Accident, Employer Liability, Public Liability, and Product Defect cases.

Why I do this work

In short, I do this work to secure the results for clients which they require to aid them in getting their lives back on track after a difficult time, through the best compensation payment that can be achieved, along with securing any rehab needs which they may require along the way.

How I work with clients

I always aim to build each case around the individual circumstances of the client, taking the time to understand their specific situation and what matters most to them. This tailored approach ensures that their unique needs are properly considered throughout the process.

Outcomes

ANON

The claimant, a Group Executive Chef, sustained severe injuries including fractures, shoulder and hip injuries, hypersensitivity, PTSD, and reduced testosterone levels, after a motorcycle collision caused by the defendant pulling out into his lane. The extensive injuries required significant medical treatment and resulted in long-term functional limitations, psychological trauma, and multiple scars, affecting both his personal and professional life. The claimant faced recurring infections and job loss, leading to a career shift with reduced income. Several medical experts confirmed the lasting impact of his injuries, necessitating ongoing medical care and specialised equipment. Liability was admitted early by the defendant, and a settlement of £400,000 was secured to cover the claimant’s injuries, impact on life, and loss of earnings. Neil Downey, the case handler, highlighted the profound and lasting consequences of the collision on the claimant’s life and career.
