I qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and was promoted to Partner at Fletchers in 2025.

Since qualifying, I’ve represented clients in complex, high-value clinical negligence claims. For over a decade, I have focused my practice on birth injury cases, including those involving hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy, cerebral palsy and hypoglycaemic injury.

I chose to specialise in birth injury law because there are few moments more devastating than when a preventable mistake during pregnancy or birth changes a child’s life forever.

I’ve seen how overwhelming this can be for families – facing complex medical issues, emotional trauma, and financial uncertainty while caring for their child.

Having experienced my own challenges when both of my children spent time in neonatal care, I have a personal understanding, even if only in part, of the worry and uncertainty families face during those early days.

What drives me is the opportunity to give families a voice, hold healthcare providers accountable, and help secure the support and resources their child needs for the future. I aim to combine compassionate care with strong representation, ensuring families feel heard, supported, and confident throughout the process.

I continue to do this work because each case not only helps one family receive justice, but can also contribute and encourage safer medical care and help prevent similar experiences for others.

My approach is centred on combining compassionate client care with strong strategic advocacy. I understand that birth injury cases are deeply personal and can feel overwhelming, so I focus on building trust through honesty, empathy and clear, consistent communication.

I take the time to truly listen to my clients, understand how their injury affects their day-to-day life, and ensure they feel supported and informed at every stage of their claim.

I’m proactive and determined in seeking answers and holding healthcare providers accountable. At the same time, I remain approachable and accessible, offering reassurance and support to families throughout what can often be a long and difficult process.

I believe strong client relationships are built on being available, open and transparent, and truly understanding the challenges families face.

Where appropriate, I take a hands-on approach by meeting families in their own environment. This gives me a clearer understanding of their daily lives and the support their child may need long term.

It allows me to build the strongest possible case for rehabilitation, care and compensation, ensuring any settlement truly reflects the child’s future needs and provides security for the whole family.

SSM

When SSM was born, failures in the management of his delivery caused irreversible brain damage shaping every aspect of his life. The impact on him and his family is profound and lifelong. Our specialist birth injury team secured a full admission of liability when SSM was just 18 months old, meaning the NHS Trust accepted complete responsibility for the avoidable harm caused. Since then, we’ve fought hard to make sure SSM has access to the care and support he needs right now, not just at the end of a lengthy legal process. We’ve secured over £5 million to fund his ongoing care, case management, and adapted living arrangements, with a further application of over £1.5 million planned in the coming months. The final settlement, which is expected to exceed £25 million, will provide SSM and his family with the long-term financial security they need to ensure he receives the very best care for the rest of his life.

MSW

When MSW was born, failures in the management of his delivery caused avoidable brain damage that has had a profound impact on his development. He lives with significant difficulties in mobility, balance, and coordination, has serious speech and communication delays, is doubly incontinent, and is fully dependent on adults for all of his care needs. Our specialist birth injury team secured a full admission of liability from the NHS Trust when MSW was just over two years old, with the Trust accepting complete responsibility for all avoidable harm caused. To date, we’ve secured funding to move the family into an adapted rental property, and secured just under £1 million in interim payments, with a further application of between £800,000 and £1 million planned within the next three months.

The client sustained a birth injury following a negligent delay in birth. We served an early letter of claim and liability was established in full when the client was aged 18 months. Interim payment received in excess of £1.3 to date and estimated value of the claim in excess of £20 million.

Acting on behalf of a birth injury client who sustained hypoxic injury at birth leading to neurodevelopmental problems. Achieved a pre-trial settlement of £1.5 million lump sum plus PPO.

Acted on behalf of a diabetic client who underwent above knee amputation following mismanagement of an ulcer on his foot. Achieved a settlement of £250,000.

Acting on behalf of a client who sustained ACL, MCL and PCL tears requiring repair and revisionary surgeries. Achieved a settlement of £100,000.

I’ve really valued the progression I’ve achieved at Fletchers. I joined in April 2018, was promoted to Associate in 2023, and went on to lead a sub-team within the Birth Injury team. I was appointed Partner in 2025 and now lead a great team of 14 talented individuals within our specialist Birth Injury unit.

I have two children at home, who keep me busy and inspired. Outside of work, I have a real interest in fashion and lifestyle, and I own over 250 pairs of heels!

I also enjoy reading and watching crime documentaries in my spare time. Alongside this, I’m passionate about advocating for improved maternity care in the UK, with a strong ambition to help drive safer outcomes for families.
