Who am I

As a member of Fletchers designated amputation team, I focus on catastrophic injury cases, helping individuals navigate through some of the most challenging legal circumstances.

I’ve achieved notable successes, including securing a seven-figure settlement for a local client who suffered a spinal cord injury. I was also part of the legal team that represented some of the families affected by the Hillsborough disaster, seeking justice and accountability for those impacted.

Why I do this work

I’m driven by a strong desire to help people who have experienced catastrophic and life-changing injuries, particularly at a time when they may feel most vulnerable. I’m committed to helping ensure they obtain the financial compensation they deserve, enabling them to access the care, support, and assistance they will inevitably need as they rebuild and move forward with their lives.

How I work with clients

I provide effective support to clients who have suffered a catastrophic injury which requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to truly listen. It is essential to offer consistent, in-person support, which includes meeting clients face-to-face and building a relationship founded on trust, understanding, and reassurance.

Outcomes

ANON

My client, a tetraplegic, required 24-hour care and support, after suffering a spinal cord injury following negligence. After an early full admission from the defendant’s legal representative, we began looking at the value of the claim and secured an interim payment to help the client access and pay for the rehabilitation treatment they needed.

ANON

The client required an amputation of their index finger after the hospital failed to properly clean a wound and provide appropriate antibiotics. This led to a serious infection, which unfortunately spread to the bone. Although the defendant initially disputed the claim, a settlement was eventually reached. This included funding for prosthetic support to assist the client, who worked full-time as a professional chef, in managing the impact on their work and daily life.

My team

The team consistently provides excellent client care by ensuring effective and consistent communication throughout the claim.

What I enjoy about working at Fletchers

Having been at Fletchers for almost 3 years, I get a lot of fulfilment from the type of work that I do. From the complexity of the cases and learning something new each day, to being surrounded by fantastic lawyers who provide advice and guidance when needed. The culture at Fletchers encourages personal growth and development with clear career progression opportunities. Given the size of the firm there is also an opportunity to specialise in particular types of medical negligence claims.
