Who am I
I have worked in legal department for 20 years. Initially qualifying into family law and attending and advocating at court for families in children act proceedings both private and public law. I then transferred into medical negligence advising clients in a wide variety of cases , and in recent years have been advising clients in group action cases.
What I specialise in
Why I do this work
I have been working in the legal sector having qualified as a solicitor nearly 17 years ago. Initially, I advised families who required assistance and advice in family law proceedings, however transferred into medical negligence 14 years ago. The clients I help and advise have often gone through traumatising events which have changed their lives and the lives of their families. I feel fortunate in being able to help them to make life in some way easier and help them achieve answers to questions on what happened to them and why, which often they have been unable to find by themselves.
How I work with clients
I firmly believe that good relationships with my clients is the most important part of my role. As a solicitor, you speak to your client regularly often becoming a confidant and discussing with them some of the most harrowing and intimate details of their lives. I always strive to provide a listening ear and be someone who they can trust and believe that I as their solicitor will do my best for them in their case, whatever that may transpire to be.

Outside of work
I am a mother of young children who keep me busy morning to night. When I have time I do strength training which I really enjoy. I think my desire to ensure good relationships comes from working as a waitress in New York.
