Stephen Hussey

As an Associate and Head of Personal Injury, I manage a number of teams that deal with road traffic accidents, employers' liability and public liability claims. I enjoy the variety that my role gives me and get great satisfaction from managing our fantastic team of enthusiastic and hardworking fee earners and paralegals within the department.

I have over 26 years’ experience working on a wide range of claims, including accidents and injuries that were sustained on the highway, the workplace, or a public place. This could be a road traffic accident, a job gone wrong on a building site or a fall in a supermarket.

I work hard to ensure that the clients we represent get the help they need at a time that is often the hardest for them. We fight to get the best outcome possible for our clients in an attempt to put them back into the position they were before their accidents occurred.

While I’m now in a supervisory role and no longer manage my own cases, I’ve always taken pride in building strong, trusting relationships with my clients. I believe that trust is key to supporting people effectively, and I was always committed to working tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome on their behalf.

I lead four teams, managing team leaders, solicitors, litigation executives and paralegals. Each person brings their own strengths and expertise, and we work collaboratively to support one another and deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.

No two claims are the same which makes each day interesting and rewarding. There is a sense of pride helping others, and we therefore value the work we do for our clients.

Over the past 3 years at Fletchers, I’ve developed significantly and take real pride in the role I now hold. The culture at Fletchers is consistent and they really value their staff, putting them at the heart of everything they do. That culture starts at the top and flows down through every single level; everyone has a voice and feels respected, regardless of their role.

I’m married and a father of three, and my family is my biggest motivation. Outside of work, I’m a passionate Wigan Warriors fan and a season ticket holder.

I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, whether that’s walking, hiking, running or playing golf. I also have a knack for DIY and enjoy building and decorating in my spare time.
