Losing Ben changed Paula’s life forever, but with the right support, she has found the strength to rebuild and keep his legacy alive.
The incident
What started as a normal day for Paula ended with her losing her husband, Ben. Ben was knocked off his bike whilst cycling home from work, when ambulance crew arrived, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. With no CCTV and no independent witnesses, Paula has spent years searching for answers and justice.

The main thing that got me through was the level of support that I received, from family and friends and having that professional support as well was really helpful, especially from such an early stage.
I don’t know how you recover from something like this, but she’s definitely rebuilding. And she’s thriving; when I speak to her and hear how she is moving forward. Ben is still in her life and always will be.
