Who am I
I’m a Senior Associate and a Senior Litigator member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
I have extensive experience handling a wide range of clinical negligence cases, including birth injuries, spinal surgery errors, and GP negligence, with a particular interest in claims involving general and orthopaedic surgery, as well as delayed diagnosis of cancer.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, I worked as a staff nurse in vascular surgery and intensive care. My clinical background gives me a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures, enabling me to quickly identify key issues in complex cases.
What I specialise in
Why I do this work
Prior to studying law, I worked as a registered general nurse in an intensive care unit and on a vascular surgery ward. When I was studying law, I had a natural interest in medico-legal work so that I could use my previous knowledge and experience in my legal career. I enjoy being able to help my clients move on with their lives after suffering what are often life changing injuries and ensure that they receive the financial compensation required for future financial security.
How I work with clients
Clinical negligence cases can take several years to conclude, so it is important to me that I establish a good rapport and working relationship with my clients at an early stage. It’s also very important to me that I gain their confidence, as they have already been let down by once profession if they are coming to us.
