Who am I

I’m an Associate at Fletchers, having qualified as a solicitor in 2002 and represented clinical negligence claimants since then.

As an advocate for patient rights, I’ve developed specific expertise in complex spinal injuries, whilst also specialising in gynaecology, amputation, complex orthopaedic, nerve and other sensory injuries, including complex regional pain syndrome.

Why I do this work

I decided probably in my mid-teens that I wanted to pursue a career in law. Law was not my undergraduate degree, I switched postgraduate from history. This was always my planned route to qualification. My first exposure to representing victims of clinical negligence was in the early 2000s during my training contract and then subsequently following qualification. I have been purely a Claimant Lawyer since 2004.

How I work with clients

I try to approach the cases with determination to get the best and most appropriate outcome for all clients.

What I enjoy about working at Fletchers

I moved to Fletchers as part of an acquisition in 2024, stepping up to Team Leader, and then shortly after this I was appointed an Associate in 2025. I’m part of the Clinical Negligence Expert Committee and a liaison for our relationships with Medical Expert Agencies. Over the course of the last 12 months we have grown the team to complement the needs we had, and we are now in a very strong position for the future, the development opportunities here are endless.

Outside of work

I have a love for theatre, both professional and am-dram, while also acting as the theatre taxi because of my daughter’s love of performing arts! I’m a member of the PCC for our local church (since 2023) and I’ve been a school governor since 2014.
