Lindsey Henderson

I’m a Senior Associate Solicitor with over 19 years of experience. I played a key role in establishing Fletchers’ Newcastle office, developing local links, raising the firm’s profile across the Northeast, and building a strong, skilled clinical negligence team.

I manage and supervise the Newcastle team, recruit new staff, assess and allocate cases, and oversees my own caseload, ensuring every client receives the highest standard of legal advice and support.

Before I started my legal career, I worked in the NHS, most recently as a senior research radiographer, giving me a strong clinical understanding that informs her approach to medical negligence claims.

When I qualified as a lawyer, I wanted to put my background in the NHS to good use. I understand how the healthcare system works, the pressures clinicians face and the technical language that comes with it. Working in clinical negligence allows me to use both skill sets to help people let down by the system, when they need it the most.

I take the time to listen. Every client brings their own story and truly understanding it shapes everything about how I approach their case. I bring genuine empathy to every instruction, paired with excellent legal knowledge and practical advice. I take genuine satisfaction in helping clients secure excellent settlements, as I recognise that pursuing a claim is often a deeply personal and difficult decision.

My aim is always to secure the best possible outcome – not just legally, but for my client’s life beyond the case.

Something I enjoy about working at Fletchers is that I’ve been able to play a part in building the Newcastle office from the ground up and developing a team that I’m genuinely proud of. I’ve had the opportunity to bring together people who are not only highly professional and knowledgeable in what they do, but also great to work with day to day. Seeing the team grow into a supportive and high-performing group has been really rewarding, and it’s something I take a lot of pride in being part of.
