Who am I

I’m an Associate Solicitor with over 17 years’ experience acting exclusively for injured claimants, with a sole focus on medical negligence work since 2015.

I deal with a wide range of complex, high value and often life-changing cases including birth injuries, delay in diagnosis of cancer and other conditions, surgical errors, spinal/orthopaedic injuries, amputations and fatal accident claims.

Why I do this work

I find it highly rewarding being able to support clients at some of the most difficult and vulnerable times in their lives. Clients often come to us feeling overwhelmed, unheard, and uncertain about the future after their trust has been broken by the medical professionals caring for them. Helping them find answers, feel listened to – to help them regain a sense of control – and rebuild their lives is incredibly important to me. While no legal outcome can undo what has happened, successful outcomes can make a real difference to clients and their families in terms of future care, rehabilitation, financial security and peace of mind.

How I work with clients

Every case is personal and I treat each client with the care, compassion and respect that they deserve. I’m a good listener and take pride in getting to know my clients and building strong relationships with them. I take the time to guide clients through the legal process with empathy, honesty and sensitivity.

Outcomes

I secured compensation for a young client who suffered a delay in diagnosis and treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) has changed her life, as she now has financial security and peace of mind knowing she will be able to access specialist rehabilitation, care, adapted accommodation, and equipment if and when her condition deteriorates in the future.

A successful outcome in a case involving a hallux amputation will allow my client to improve her mobility, regain some of the independence that she lost, access care and support, and overall will make a high difference her to her quality of life. After struggling financially for years due to not being able to work because of delayed breast reconstruction following a breast cancer diagnosis, my client was able to properly celebrate Christmas with her family and buy presents for her children, which

My team

Each member of our team plays a role in delivering excellent client care and building strong client relationships, plus assisting with a range of tasks to ensure that cases are progressed in an efficient and timely manner.

What I enjoy about working at Fletchers

I’ve been with Fletchers for around 4.5 years and have dealt with a wide range of complex, high value cases, often involving life changing injuries, including delay in diagnosis of cancer and other conditions, surgical errors, spinal/orthopaedic injuries, neurological injuries, amputations and fatal accident claims. I now work in the birth injury team and primarily deal with claims including brain injury at birth, cerebral palsy, birth injuries to mother, wrongful birth, neonatal death and stillbirth. I was promoted to Associate in 2024. My role is challenging, but highly rewarding with a wide variety of complex work. Fletchers is an excellent firm with a very open and approachable leadership team, and a friendly, supportive and collaborative culture. I enjoy and value the work/life balance that flexible/hybrid working allows.
