Who am I
I’m a Partner and Solicitor, bringing over 30 years of legal expertise to my role. Over the years, I’ve represented hundreds of vulnerable road users such as cyclists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.
With a focus on ensuring timely rehabilitation, speedy repair or replacement of bikes and kit, and securing fair compensation, I’m committed to advocating for justice, client rights and for their well-being.
Alongside my career, I’m also a key ambassador for road safety and active travel. As a subject matter expert for all things cycling, I leverage my experience to provide expert insight to drive forward my work and support others in the team. In addition, as Trustee/Director at Cycling UK, I actively participate in national campaigns to benefit vulnerable road users.
I’m involved in various community initiatives and was named in Cycling UK’s ‘100 women’ and was a founding member, now running a women’s cycle group, TeamGlow, in South Manchester. I was also a founding member and Director of WalkRide GM, a campaign group focussed on walking, wheeling and cycling in Greater Manchester.
I frequently utilise my media training to raise awareness of road safety issues through press articles, radio, and TV appearances. I’ve also given evidence to the House of Commons Transport Committee Active Travel Inquiry in 2019. My advocacy efforts have led to tangible changes, including improvements in road layouts and targeted resources for repairing dangerous potholes. I’m also an avid cyclist myself, having completed Land’s End to John O’Groats, ultra endurance events such as All Points North, Maratona dles Dolomites, and I’m a member of the Club des Cingles du Ventoux, after three ascents of the French mountain in one day.
I take pride in my spot on BBC Breakfast’s red sofa, where I provided expert commentary on long-term government funding for pothole repairs.
What I specialise in
Why I do this work
As a keen cyclist myself, I do this role to help other vulnerable road users through some of the most trouble times in their lives. I have a persistent focus to ensure the best outcomes for every client I work with and understanding what they require and what is important to them. I’m committed to advocating for justice, my client’s health and fair compensation.
How I work with clients
No matter what claim I’m working on, I approach it the same every time. For each client I’m dedicated, passionate and persistent. I’m also solutions focussed and I work with my clients to understand what solution may work for them and how through my work I can deliver the best results for them. I use my keen eye for detail to achieve the best for my clients.
